I can remember where I was at when I got word of the planes being flown into the Trade towers. Those images that played out on the news still haunt me to thus day.
For those of us on who are old enough to remember, I’m sure it’s the same..

Let’s all take a moment of silence today as we remember those who lost their lives on this tragic and horrific day back in 2001 and anyone else who lost a loved one during that time.

May the Lord bless you and keep you as push forward in life while missing those who were taken from you during that time.

I was in middle school at the time. They turned on the TV and made us watch it. I remember the teacher crying. Then they announced over the loud speaker that we could go home early. I was stoked but when I got home I couldnt watch my cartoons because it was on every channel. I guess at the time I was not mature enough to consider the magnitude of the event. Now that I am I think of how much a selfish brat I was.

May we never forget that day. God Bless America and God bless those who lost their lives 😔

I don't mean any disrespect but what happened on that day?
September 11th 2001:

Terrorists hijacked 4 planes. One hit the pentagon but did not produce much damage. Another one, flight 93 I think, the passengers fought the terrorists and it crashed into a field. Supposedly that one was headed for the white house. At the same time 2 planes were headed to new york city. One crashed into the north tower and another crashed within 15 minutes into the south tower. The towers and everyone in them either burnt or crashed to the ground. Thousands lost their lives including the brave men and women first responders.

Type it in Google for all the facts, this is just what I remember so I apologise if it is at all inaccurate. I was in middle school at the time so I dont know all the details. President Bush, jr. got on the TV and announced a "war on terror" calling for the leader of al Qaeda's head. This is why we are in the middle east currently. Bin Laden was that leader. He is now deceased. Since then we have murdered countless other members of the terrorist group and brought democracy to iraq. Not sure how young you are but your school should be teaching you this because we are still at war. We still have troops on the ground there. Brave men and women risking their lives for the people who died that day

My history books are still in the 80s

Not a selfish brat -- just a kid who didn't grasp the situation. You were young, that's all. :hugs

My dad was in the World Financial Center that day. Connected to the Twin Towers by an overpass walkway. He caught the last ferry out of Manhattan, and saw the buildings fall on his way out. He lost many friends that day. Luckily he made it out,

I was in middle school about 30 miles away. A lot of my classmates had parents on Wall Street. One by one those whose parents were likely dead were called out of class. My mom picked me up early, feraring the worst. I was terrified. We didn't hear from my dad until he walked in the door that night. Shaken but alive.

9/11/2001: Never forget...to question EVERYTHING and NEVER trust the government

I was 23 years old when this happened. I had gotten food poisoning the night before and was at home in bed when my mom called to tell me what was going on. I woke up and turned the tv on just in time to see the first plane hit. It was terrifying. Nothing has been the same since. Especially traveling by airline.

I was getting ready to go to work that day, eating breakfast and had the news on TV. It seemed surreal like what I is was seeing didn't make any sense, it took a while to really sink in that what was happening on my TV screen really was happening in the real world. Just shocking to watch. I felt confused all day long trying to work it out in my mind.
