Afterwards, my dad sat in front of the news basically in shock crying on and off for about 3 months. "Processing" I guess. He had looked at that building up close from his window at work for 20 years.

I can’t imagine being that close to it, physically and emotionally. That’s horrible.

It was a pretty rough time. Silver lining though it was the catalyst that got him off Wall st. and kind of changed his whole life/outlook in a positive way. It's crazy that it was 19 years ago already!

An important post and I'm grateful to see those keeping the memory alive and still paying tribute to those lives lost and the many first responders and those who gave their time and some their lives rescuing and recovering.

I was too young to recall - elementary at the time and I only remember the next day when we found out a girl in my class had lost her father. My heart goes out to the many still dealing with the pain.
