Hello, anyone tell me if this beak is hooked? She is a new addition to the flock and seems a little longer than our other bantams. She can eat greens well but not sure about seed and grit. Is it too long and should I trim?
Thankyou!

It will wear down on its own from what I've experienced with my flock. I don't see it being too long wear it will effect her in any way. If you put the seed on the ground it'll help her wear it down too. I put out bricks and rocks for my chickens to use for their nails and beaks if they want to.

Honestly, I can't see a single problem with your chicken's beak. I have some with severely more deformed beaks who still are thriving. One I even call "Cull Bill", but he does thrive, and the family will not allow me to cull him, you seem to have a keeper there.

Now that being said, she may bill out more food than everyone else in the flock, but that is a chicken thing. I wish I could curtail the excessive feed billers in my flock.

If I was you, I would use my rotary dog nail trimmer and just file that down a little bit.
