Orchid had been about to step in the den when Amber and Fenrir raced out, "Ah come on!" she shouted to them. Where are they going? She wondered.

Amber glanced back and saw Fenrir chasing her, but fear urged her on, her pace never slacking as tore across the land, leaping like a deer onto shortcuts. She glanced back. She wasn't getting any further from Fenrir, but at least he wasn't getting any closer.

Fenrir ran and ran, he would not lose her. He needed to be sure she would be safe. He knew where she was running and had been there before so he evaded the obstacles easily. It seemed that the storm was lessening as well.

Amber almost growled with frustration. She continued to run in the old direction she knew he thought she was running to. But her destination had nothing to do with whatever he thought it was. But maybe he's on the right course...as she ran she called over her shoulder, "Where do you think I'm going?!"

He did not answer her, instead he kept running, he knew where she was going, even if she thought he didn't. He needed all of his breath to keep his pace. He ran like a wolf, a steady gate, never tiring.

Amber could see the hill only a little ways ahead...she dashed forward and made her way up to the top. After a tedious climb, she finally made it. Amber stood before a cave near the hilltop. Spinning around, she came face to face with Fenrir. "What do you want?" She snarled.

Orchid could see that the sky was clearing but any chance of her tracking them was gone with the storm. Defeated she headed back to her den and slumped down, depressed.
