Ruby took one more loving look at Kiro, then disappeared outside. She trotted to the stream, her head full thoughts.

"Hello," A strange voice jerked her out of her thoughts.
 
Ruby turned to see a handsome coyote staring at her. "Hi, who are you?" she asked, not sure if this coyote was in the same rank as her.

"I'm Ice." Came the simple reply.

"Well, it's Nice to meet you." Ruby felt strangely uncomfortable, and she was trying to move on.

"Wait, where are you going?" Asked Ice.

"T-to the stream...?"

"Mind if I come?"

"Y-y-es, I mean, no."

"Then I'll join."

Ruby turned and continued to the stream. Once she got there, she glanced behind her, hoping to see that Ice had left. Nope! There he was, staring at her again.

"Can I ask you something?" He said suddenly.

"That's what Kiro said to me when....when he wanted to be my mate!" Ruby tried not to show her fear. "Well, I can always say no. But then I'd probably be in danger..."

"Can I?" Ice repeated.

"Go ahead." Ruby said.
 
"Oh my, I would love to except that offer," Ruby lied, "But I already have a mate."

"And who might that be?"

"Kiro. He's my mate."

"I demand you be my mate."

"But I can't, I-"

"I SAID YOU WILL BE MY MATE."

"Mr. Ice, I'm very sorry, but that is just not possible." Ruby tried to keep her voice calm. "I'd better be on my way... sooo, goodbye!" Ruby turned to leave, but suddenly she felt sharp teeth on her leg.

"I've been watching you for a while, but that stupid Kiro got ahead of me. I just might have to end him." Threatened Ice.

Ruby yelped with pain, "I...I can't!"

"You have to become my mate." Growled Ice, biting harder. "Will you, or will you not?"

"I...I...yes...NO....I mean...oh stop!" Ruby leaped to her feet and bit back at Ice.

"You are the--------" Ice said.

I don't watch it very much, I only watched like, two episodes, and then headed for bed
