Amber caught her breath. "I'm sorry to hear that."

Azula rolled her eyes. "I'm not. You know Father always liked me more. When he died, I became Alpha. Don't worry, the pack is ruled with justice."

Amber didn't like the evil glint in Azula's eyes.

"How is Udoka?" Amber asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

"Udoka? Oh, I banished him." Azula said casually.

Amber gasped. "Banished? What did he do? He was your best friend!"

Azula laughed. "He didn't do anything. I banished him because he stopped being my friend when I became Alpha. And when Father killed our brother and Mother, of course. I guess you could say I didn't think he was needed anymore."

Amber tried to control her anger. "Azula, this is getting out of hand. Every time I see you, things back at the old pack are getting worse and worse. You call that justice? That's you just throwing a fit!"

Azula smiled. "Exactly. He made me upset, so I banished him. Justice. I almost killed him, he made me so...so...broken." For a moment, the look of hurt reflected clearly in her eyes. Then it vanished and her cold look return. "I spared him though, and I sent him on his way."

Orchid stood and stretched, the high rankers hadn't even started to eat so her wait was going to be a long one. She sniffed the air and caught the scent of three new coyotes. One of which smelled really similar to Fenrir. She decided she was going to visit this one first. She trotted off in the direction of the scent and found that this coyote not only smelled like Fenrir but almost resembled him. She was large, not as large as him but really big, at least from her point of view, seeing as she was tiny. "Hello, she said quietly to the new coyote, not smiling, nor was she looking her in the eyes.

Fenrir thought he could smell something familiar, something that he hadnt wanted to smell again but he didn't much mind. The entire wolf pack was here and nothing really stood a chance against a wolf pack so he shifted his attention back to the pups. He hoped his pups would like him like this someday.

Sliver whirled quickly and recklessly, branches cracking as he moved. He hated the new alpha for being happy with his wolf friends, even though Sliver knew it was unreasonable and stupid to hate Fenrir for that.

Amber glowered at her sister. "Look, Azula. I think we should forget about each other. You've chosen your path, I've chosen mine."

Azula looked pleased. "Alright, then."

"And I'm taking Violet and Oak with me," Amber added, thinking of her little cousins. Their mother and father had both died from illness and Azula had been taking care of them. Not very good care, it turned out, from the look of their small, skeletal bodies.

Azula frowned but finally nodded. "Fine." She spat.

Fenrir heard someone whirl and sat up immediately. "Excuse me," he said to his uncle and stepped outside, one of the pups tumbling along with him, just in time to see Silver's tail dashing away. But what he saw next stopped him cold. It was Azula. Now he knew why the coyote looked so familiar, she had been the old alpha's favorite child. He leaned down and told the pup quietly, "You have to go in with your father now Jazzberry." When the pup started to whine he gave it a little shove toward the entrance to the cave.

Amber nodded. "Now, you better go. And I never want to see you again." She said. Cold, yes, but it was for everyone's safety. She turned her back to Azula and started down the hill. Amber was just about to take another step when she felt Azula tackle her from behind. "You didn't think I'd let you go that easy, did you?" She hissed in Amber's ear.
 
Sliver snarled to himself as he ran, "It's stupid to hate Fenrir and you know it. Just because he has some stupid wolf friends doesn't make him any happier than you."
(oh wow. Sliver does a lot of snarling and growling. maybe I should make him bare his teeth some time.)

Azula was tackling Amber! He would not allow this. He ran over and got between them snarling ferociously at Azula.
