Jasper half snarled, "I do not!" he said pridefully, but a little voice in his head said the complete opposite. He stormed off to his den and laid down but couldn't fall asleep, for Amber was on his mind.
"Yes?" May said (shes the healer)
"We would like to know when we will meet the pups," he said.
"You don't what?" Amber asked, standing at the edge of his den. Her eyes were almost cold.
"What?!" Jasper gasped, suddenly shy and wondering why she was angry with him. "Heheh, it's nothing."
"Hm," Amber said with a raised eyebrow.
Jasper hung his head a little, "Just something another coyote was teasing about, I told you, it's nothing..." he slunk past her into his den and laid down at the back.
"I see," Amber said. She had heard the whole conversation. But she didn't say anything else.
Jasper rolled onto his back, "So, what did you come here for?" he asked her, trying to keep his pleasure of her company out of his voice.
Amber shrugged. "I wanted to ask you about what you'd said. I can go now if you like."
