Jasper heard the bush and stood. Looking around, he spotted Amber, his tail wagged at first but then he remembered the night before. He walked over to her, "Why are you following me," he asked curiously.

Amber flushed, embarrassed to be caught. ”I wasn't following you, ” Amber said. Her lie was obvious. ”Maybe I was.” she shrugged

"But why?" Jasper asked her. He flicked his tail. His blue coat caught the sun and his green eyes were squinted against it.

(GTG soon have to go sight in my rifle for next month's hunting season. Not sure how much longer I have.)

Crystal tilted her head. ”Do you want to go on a hunt?” she glanced over at the deer in the food pile. ”Oh, right. Never mind.” she laughed, slightly embarrassed.

"Hmm," Jasper said at the first comment. Then he added, "That was you? Well, it was a tasty rabbit." He smiled, his tail wagging slightly.

Amber smiled. ”Glad you liked it.” she looked down at her paws. ”Jasper, I’ve been wanting to tell you something...”

Jasper gaped for a minute than took off after her, this time hearing her cousins. He kept pace with her, not saying anything, just watching her as she gracefully ran through the forest. He made the same leaps with most of the same grace.
