Jasper snarled viciously, offended that she would dare speak to him that way, the only thing stopping him from lunging at her was that she was a female. He growled at her every move, still standing over Amber.
Crystal looked at Jasper, not wanting to get in a fight. ”Let me see her.” Crystal said firmly
"Why should I let you see her?" Jasper asked, still growling, "You have no respect and I am her mate!" he added.
”Yeah, and she wouldn't be your mate if not for me.” Crystal retorted. ”I’m just worried about her. I might be able to help.” Crystal added softly
Jasper growled once more but stepped aside. He nuzzled Amber affectionately and laid down behind her.
Crystal began to examine Amber, looking her over with a skeptical eye. Amber let Crystal poke and prod her, but when Crystal bit Amber’s neck, she exclaimed, ”Ouch! That hurts.”
Jasper snarled warningly, "What would prompt you to bite her neck?!" he growled.
"Uh...I don't know," Crystal said lamely, then proceeded to nip Amber's side, drawing blood
Jasper saw the blood and snarled, nothing stopped him this time and he lunged at her, pinning her hard, "Why?!" was all he said.
"She deserved it," Crystal snarled back
