Jasper continued on his way, he noticed the path led to a river with a waterfall and started running, worried that his pup was dead. He made it there and jumped in the water, his sense of smell was useless here but he could still see. He noticed a cave behind the fall and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his pup there, cold and wet but alive.

*Comet continues to have a panic attack.*
 
Amber licked Ashera gently and surveyed her other pups. "It's going to be alright. I totally didn't just accidentally kill my little pup and maybe my mate as well." She said miserably.

Comet felt himself be picked up again. He squirmed about, trying to escape. He didn't want to go with that rough coyote again! But then he realized this coyote was much more gently. Was it his papa?

Jasper held on a little more firmly but no less gently until the pup settled down. He finally made it to his den a few hours later and set the pup in front of Amber, panting hard.

Amber nearly cried with relief. "My little pup!" She exclaimed, curling around the shivering form to warm him. "Oh, Jasper, I'm so glad you're alright. I thought I'd lost you both. What happened?"
