Hello fellow Hoosiers! My name is Dereck, and I am a chicken addict!!! LOL

I live in Indianapolis on the west side of town, not too far from downtown actually...anyone close by?
We have 5 chickens currently, 2EEs, 2BRs, and 1BA--all hens. This is my first time with chickens so I may need some guidance as I go...so be prepared to answer some rookie chicken questions if I need it.
My girls are 4 weeks old today, and starting to take over my house...I am constructing a bigger brooder box today and hopefully will have them moved to the garage tonight. I will miss them in the house, but I walked in from being outside for just a few minutes and I had free-ranging house chickens...the wife was not too thrilled with that...so out to the garage they go tonight.....Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself to all you hoosiers!!!

Hi Dereck and welcome! I'm also in the process of trying to move youngsters from inside to outside; the weather hasn't been very cooperative.

Besides the occasional "free ranger," as they grow, so does the odor!

If anyone needs any bantam cochin (frizzled and smooth), Japanese bantam, or silkie chicks, I have several ready to move out.

I'll be at the Columbus show Saturday and will have several there.

I am still looking to sell my bantam dark cornish pullet. She is a good layer. Also need to rehome my paired King pigeons. Prefer pick-up and I am willing to meet half way.
