Hoover’s “Americana” — when do they start laying?

Picture of the "pullet"?

Americanas are another name for EEs, which are a mutt, so its hard to say when they will start laying since there is so much variety in the "breed"

She could be laying, easter eggers don't always lay blue or green, they can also lay cream, brown or tan.
Nobody’s laying. My next oldest pullets are 20 weeks. I got 5 chicks in March—one ended up being a cockerel and the other 4 ended up being different breeds than they were sold as so I sold them and ordered chicks from small breeders. This Americana/EE is the only one I kept from that group.

Echoing the others, that's a pullet, she's a mutt, and she'll lay when she lays. I've seen reports on BYC of Americanas, and EEs generally, all over the board in terms of start of lay. If you twisted my arm and insisted on an answer, I'd say between 22 and 30 weeks - twice the range I normally offer.

Good color in the comb, are you seeing any squatting behaviors from her? and have you done a pelvic space check?
