I think the right thing was done for her since she had lost the will to live and was suffering. It's always hard when you have to put down a pet.

Cull = kill and there are multiple ways of doing it. I use a knife and cut off the heads of my culls... sadily, the bids I cull for health reasons, dont' even move when you are doing it... not even have spasms after their head is gone.
