Hi everyone. My family and I have five, 5 week old Easter egger chicks. We have two full grown hens and have no experience with rosters. I think one of our babies may be a roo. I know it's a bit early to know for sure, but I need help to figure it out so I can find a farm sooner rather than later that will take him if it's a him. My kids will be heartbroken (me too). He/she has a more red, prominent comb than the others and some red on the shoulders that has been there for weeks. The first two pics are my suspected roo, and the third is another of the five to compare to. Any input is appreciated!

give it time. with poultry, that is a great lesson. i nearly tossed out an egg in the bator, only to choose not to, and have it hatch as a gold manchurian. :) although that does look quite a bit like a roo. :hmm
