From the first pictures I thought it was a cockrel. I've never had silkie pullets with a large crest or wattles, which is why I was thinking cockrel. Sorry :( I'm currently playing the waiting game with 4 silkies. At this point I'm certain 2 are cockrels and very unsure about the other 2 😂 silkies are so frustrating to sex!

well ... my 'pullet' decided to let out its first morning crow Saturday at 5:40 am.

I've started a new thread to try and help find him a new home. Anybody in Southwest Pennsylvania looking for a silkie rooster?

Meanwhile, we established a boys dormitory in the garage for separate sleeping quarters. That way he doesn't wake up the neighbors early.

Thank you to everybody who voted/provided feedback ... even if I held out hope for too long.

So sorry you will have to rehome him.:( Silkie boys seem to be easier to rehome than other breeds in my experience.
