From my experience with my other chickens regarding crop issues is that I give them molasses to give them energy while they also get Epsom salt drink solution to flush out whatever in their crop.

3 times a day epsom salt drink 3ml each time and gently massage the crop. My other chickens that did not have serious other issues their crop clear slowly cleared in 3 or 4 days. One that did not, I gently massage her crop a few times a day especially before bed time. There was one hen that persistent, but she was still eating and ultimately cleared it.

Epsom salt drink solution 1 tea spoon mix well with 125ml of water.
With care and slowly 1ml and 3ml in total.
3 times a day with crop massage gently downward.
Let her sit inside with you so she can rest quietly
Let her outside for a walk as well so that the movement help moving things along.

Your girl might still be saved.
Of course if all treatments failed, then it might be more of other issues and sour crop is just a secondary issue.
All the best, thinking of your hen and you.
Thank you so much - we’re going to start this tonight and hope for the best. Is is 3mL for each dose? And just given in 1mL increments?

Yes that's what I took from it too. Getting it in the drinker is what I suggested earlier, but you could give a dose via syringe now. Not sure what time it is there, but if it's late I'd just give her 1ml dose now, and another in the morning, unless you've got the miconazole do that now and fill her drinker with the epsom salt, and do flushes tomorrow.

Someone will have to input on the miconazole frequency.

Morning update: 🐓💕
- Her crop seems a bit smaller this morning (still doughy though) and she had lots of whitish poos with green bits throughout the night.

- She had some nice body language this morning, she opens her eyes and looks around when she hears us, and she even did a tail wag and wiped her beak in her box! I know it could just be her trying to look less sick (survival thing) but it did make me feel more hopeful that she’s not in too much discomfort? I don’t want to be too hopeful, but it was really nice to see:)

- her comb is now floppy, I’m assuming it’s dehydration from the molasses and current epsom flush treatment

- She was a bit interested in water! She likes drinking it off the ground, so we put her outside and she drank on her own for the first time in a day (yay blanche!)

- Her whole digestion seems rough, after the crop massage her whole body was making gurgly/grumbly/airy sounds, and she seems to have to out effort into pooping - it almost squirts out? 😶

- we’re starting to look into options for euthanasia, just to have a backup plan if it seems we’re just extending her suffering💕 she’s been breathing with the open mouth/gaping, it’s uncomfortable to watch but it’s hard to tell if it’s uncomfortable for her. Her comb is still red, so I think that means she’s still getting a good amount of oxygen!

- miconzole: I’m debating starting an anti fungal treatment, she’s on the epsom flush today and I’ll wait to see how’s she’s doing. It seems like a great option but I don’t want to do too many things at once

Again thank you all so much for the replies and information! I’ve been learning from BYC for at least 10 years now, the support and help now for my own hen means so much💕❤️

Update:
Very bright yellow poos later morning, maybe circling back to an original thought of an early reproductive issue? I’ll do some digging on egg yolk peritonitis - but it might be too late. She hasn’t had any noticeable swelling in her abdomen this week
Also her friend Dorthy came to visit this morning:)

Give her some soft scramble eggs to eat. Dorthy is a great emotional suppose. No swelling in abdomen is good.

All that sounds very positive except for the mouth gaping. If you think she's got peritonitis it could come with an infection as I understand. You were already treating for parasites so you may want to start something against a baterial, or fungal infection such as yeast as we suggested. I can't see that making her worse of than she is.

The flushes may be helping reduce the symptoms, but it also could be advanced now.

I'm of the manner of trying things as opposed to waiting. I waited and lost my favorite house raised hen. Hope she pulls through.
