1) Splash Maran
2) Acting lethargic, still eating somewhat- isolating from the group. Not sure she has laid an egg in a while but her vent area is soft. Lots of green stool (formed) below her vent. Crop feels like a soft water balloon and is larger than normal. While mashing it, she burped an AWFUL odor- not yeasty or sweet but garlicy and foul.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?- 4 days
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? No
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Yes, somewhat but did not join others when I put fresh veggies in for their weekly treat
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Normalish- to runny; SMELLS awful- like garlic and cat urine :( No blood
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Corrid started today. - Gave her nutra-drench yesterday
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? I am wondering if she needs an antibiotic
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use- 20 x 10 covered area with an 8 foot connecting run to a coop.

Don't do vitamins along with Corid as they negate one another.. Corid works by mimicking thiamine because that's what the coccidia feed on.. so it starves them out. In fact.. I didn't catch how old she is aside from actively laying.. but I (personally) would quit the Corid.. since coccidiosis is unlikely. It could pop us as a secondary condition though.. getting a fecal float done can tell you what your coccidia load actually is to rule it in or out.

Please don't throw antibiotics at what you haven't yet properly diagnosed. That's why they too often don't work when we need them to.

Hope she recovers quickly! :fl
