Glad you & yours are safe. I'm also glad you got over the guilty feeling and ate something too. Very glad!

We just now got power back again after this mornings early storms. The power was out for eight hours this time. I had candled the eggs I had in the bator after losing power for 24 hours on friday and I saw some movement so I left them in the bator. Not sure what the movement was but stranger things have happened and I could have a miracle happen right. Now 8 more hours with no power. I'm sure my babies are doomed. Today is day 10 on the eggs. Maybe I will wait until day 14 just to see if by some slim chance any make it.

I don't have any high hops though.

Right now a reporter is on his way to the house to take pics of the tree for "The Cleburne News." I guess our tree is famous now.

I have to laugh right now because I am out of tears.

All that happened really didn't hit me until the middle of the night last night. We are all O.K., my animals are O.K. It could of been so much worce and since I do have a eating disorder I will just have to fight harder to get through it. Coming to this realization is going to help me make it. Thanks again for the kind words because they are so needed right now.

Sara,
I am so sorry! You were truly blessed, I had no idea how big that tree was, until I saw you standing in front of the roots!! Thank God that it missed you house!!
You are just in my prayers and take care!
Theresa

The reporter just left and he couldn't beleive the tree fell on friday when everything was calm instead of last night when we had high winds and nasty storms.

While I was talking to him I happened to look at the back of the property and noticed another large tree fell. This tree is huge but nowhere the size of the first one that fell. Man oh man.

We installed a wood burning heater late in the season last year so we had to work at collecting wood to burn. I needed wood but this is ridiculous.

The reporter said our tree was the worst he has seen in the county so far.

Thanks Theresa, like I said earlier the pics don't do justice as far as the size of the tree. Everyone that has seen or heard about the tree can not beleive it came down. The tree has been a conversation peice for many years because of the size alone.
