If possible take tweezers and remove any feathers around the wound then flush it as it can help keep it clean/sterile. Maybe use a toddler brush/soft bristle toothbrush to get some of the debris out.

Then I would treat the wounds and let him be for the night. Can he get out from under the heat lamp if he wants to?

I did use some Scissors and carefully cut some feathers away from the wound, and use a wet qtip to get as much dirt out as I could. I just flushed it with saline and put some polysporn on it.

Yes one side of the cage is warmed by the heat lamp, and the other side is colder. I had him under the heat lamp, but I noticed he was breathing quickly so I gave him water and moved him to the edge of where the heat lamp reaches. He hasn’t walked, just kind of adjusted him self and let his head droop back down. And thank you and everyone else very much! I will post an update in the morning on how he is doing.

There aren’t really any feathers. It’s like his skin was peeled back along with the feathers. But I did get the feathers out and away from the wound.

You are doing a good job with your little guy. micstrachan has given you good advice.

You will have to assess his condition each day. He is in shock right now, and birds will close their eyes and withdraw from the world. It's OK, you've attended to his wounds. Let him rest for the night.

Be vigilant for infection, daily. Attend to the wounds daily.

He doesn't need pain relief right now.

Leave food and water for him tomorrow. He will probably rest most of the day.

If he survives the next 24 hours, he has a good chance of surviving this.
