I've actually never heard of it, but I'll make sure to read the books! Have you heard of The Black Stallion? (Similar name, I know) I lovee those books and the movie is really good! I'm not going to spoil it, but its about a wild arabian stallion turned racehorse. There's also 2..or 3 mysteries? I can't remember. The books are from around 1940's-1989. It's really good, so I 10/10 recommend!I’ve been obsessed with The Silver Brumby for a while now.
First introduced to the movie thanks to @ColtHandorf
Then learned there was a TV series….

Then learned there’s a book series of 13 books, which I am now in the process of reading.
First book: https://www.amazon.com/Silver-Brumb...?keywords=Silver+Brumby&qid=1639004050&sr=8-3
Whenever I find a horse person, one of the first questions I often ask is “Have you seen and/or read The Silver Brumby?” And their answer is usually “No.” and they are often confused as they don’t know what a Brumby is.
A Brumby is basically an Australian wild horse. The series follows the adventures of a palomino brumby named Thowra, and the books after the first one then follow the adventures of his offspring and his example.
So, is there anyone else out there as obsessed as me?
I’ll have to read those!! Thanks!I've actually never heard of it, but I'll make sure to read the books! Have you heard of The Black Stallion? I have the book!National Velvet is also a good horse movie.
I used to watch it as a kid, so it's sort of special. Haven't watched it as an adult. Might not like it anymore.A horse movie you actually approve of?!![]()
Please do! It was based on true events, so hopefully it has something going for it, and isn’t too unrealistic.I used to watch it as a kid, so it's sort of special. Haven't watched it as an adult. Might not like it anymore.
I'll be sure to give my full report on The Silver Brumby here.
