Boy, she is a cutie. Sorry she has tossed you off some... I feel for you. The little stinker. Glad you are still getting to the barn. love the costume!!! I may have to try to figure out something for our boys... So cute!!!Hi @TropicalBabies! I was just thinking of posting in this thread because I haven't seen anyone post in a while. And wow, it is GORGEOUS where you are! It does look like a slice of heaven.Sorry to hear about the colt and mare. Guess some things just don't work out...hopefully you can get a third horse one day!
Nothing much new is going on over in my world...but last Sunday I did go to my stable's Christmas party! It was fun. I tried the game 'ride a buck' for the first time, as well. I was the third one out but the mare (pics below) I rode is pretty hot and unseated me a few times when she got excited.
This is Amarillo, the mare I've been practicing barrels with. I dressed her up as a sleigh horse and we even won second place in 'best homemade costume' for the contest.

. I have not been working with Hombre much due to all of the sickness for so long. A week or so ago (in between illnesses ha ha... cough, cough!) I had him in the round pen, warming him up, doing groundwork he was acting funny, couldn't poop. He is an excellent pooper, so I quickly grew concerned thinking he was colicky, I took him for a long walk around the property where he commenced to rearing and bucking, the little jerk. Thought he was going to hurt me but all I was was mad at what a pain he is if he is not worked constantly... terrible dispo, no respect. He is fine by the way, after samples, psyllium, hay and more samples he is good. Just a scare and reminder to stay with good practices.
so much nicer and cheaper than Hombre... he should worry, he could do a lot worse then me.
hope this situations turns around and all is well as soon as possible. Take care, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.oh noI would be out riding too if we hadn’t just moved all the animals. Including Hudson. There is a giant bushfire very close and we were thinking it’s a possibility that we will get embers over here in the coming days. Mum decided it would be safer to have less animals such as a horse and chickens to worry about so we moved the Guinea pigs as well. The rabbits we kept here as they are not very heat tolerant at all.
will be praying for youThanksoh nowill be praying for you
