Willow looked around the auction, watching her fathers new cattle being loaded. She saw a girl on a horrible looking barrel horse and laughed, not knowing the horses true talent.

Charlotte roped another cow and a cowboy cut his horns quickly off.

Bennie saw three or four startled hares jump up and run as fast as they could. Star suddenly stopped, nearly sending Bennie flying off of her back. Bennie looked, but before she could see anything Star reared, then when her front hooves came crashing down on the ground, she turned back towards home, and tore off, running as fast as she possibly could. Bennie was terribly frightened, but maintained balance and self control. Then she smelled it, fire.

Willow and Charlotte saw the fire at the same time. Both were on their horses already, so they galloped their horses out, not seeing the girl laying on the ground, and started hearding cattle away.

Bennie hung on the the saddle horn for extra support. Star huffed and puffed, but did not lose speed. Bennie rembered Charlotte, "I wonder how shes faring with this ordeal?"

Willow and Charlotte were quite close, they were cousins after all. They turned their horses in sync, Legacy and Queen nipping at some of the cattle to get them to hurry.
