Is there any way that you could maybe like put down a small deposit or something? Just so he knows that you are serious and he doesn't sell her before then?

Mom said if he finds someone who is willing to pay for her full-price, then to go ahead and sell her. They were friends in highschool, and he really just wants her to go to a good home![]()
He said that she's been on the market for so long, and selling her for any less than x$ would be practically giving her away, that's just what he decided to do! He PMed my mom on facebook and said that we have first dibs since we were the only ones who went out to see her.Wow really!? That's amazing!! Lucky you! So just out of curiosity, why is he giving her to you for free? Just because they were/are friends or? Cause it seems like he would lose money lol cause wasn't she like $3000 or $3500 or something? But that is amazing he cares more about the animals and finding a good home than the money! Rare these days lol

Possibly. Either way, he probably would have told mom if someone else was interested in her. We were out looking at her last august.Ohhhh that makes sense. And wow that's awesome![]()
Not to be creepy but I went on the FB page like yesterday or the other day and someone had been interested and he said someone was coming out to see her but he'd let them know, that was a while ago so i guess it didnt happen. But I'm guessing the person who looked at her was you guys? LOL
I don't think he's selling her to make room for new foals... he only has 6 or so horses, and they don't have a stallion anymoreWhen breeders have new foals arriving, sometimes they are so eager to create space they will give you amazing deals. A few years ago, the Arabian breeder around the corner from me was selling the "good ones" for 6 figures. As the foaling season approached, the not quite so good ones that were still there, "leftovers" from last year's crop were being offered for $200, just in an effort to "get 'em out of here."
Sounds like your mom was in the right place at the right time; congratulations! I think Armira lucked out, too.![]()
