k so i just got back from working with her. i found if i lock her in the round pen and just use hand signals, verbal commands and the whip she does fine. but if she is in the round on the lunge line, which i want her to use on her, she stops and faces like i said and now she rears and kicks!

Maybe she was abused when her previous owner had used a lunge line with her and so now she is just acting out. My barrel mare's ears were abused and twisted so now I can't touch her ears without her throwing her head. :idunno

Sounds like things are starting to get a bit dangerous. Do you have an instructor/trainer/mentor that can come and give a hand? Be sure to always wear a helmet while lunging as well.
