Horses slaughtered in FL?

I don't think killing people who are already around is right, just getting people to understand that having too many kids is the prob and maybe some people will agree. I plan on adopting one because if I have a boy he is 50/50 to have Muscular Distrophy and another I would rather help a child who needed a home than have my own. Plus more time to preventing teen pregnancys.

My sister told me about this . She still lives in Broward County where some of the horses have been killed. She said they slaughter them and take what meat they want. They are selling it on the black market for 20.00 a pound. These animals are pets. They are not abused or neglicated horses. These no goods are just killing to make a buck I don't think it has anything to do with ecomony either Some people just look for the easy way to make money rather than work

Just like the copper thing. We have rental homes and someone broke in and tore down the ceiling and only got $20.

Good for you. I plan on adoption as well.

So, to control human populations we are going to prohibited breeding, instead of killing those already in existance. How many children can people have? One, Two, none? How are we going to enforce this? Once you have a child, you have to be sterilized? What if, to maintain populations some people cannot have children? How do we figure out who can and can't have children? How are we going to punish those who do have too many children?

People are already preaching safe sex and control to the teenagers. It's not working, teenage mothers are on the rise. It's something that has to either be dealt with or just accepted. My mother-in-law works in an OBGYN clinic and my mother works in Labour and Delivery, both are amazed at the amounts of young mothers.

In 3rd world countries, children are a livelihood. In 3rd world countries you must have many children in order to survive, you have children to help run the farm, hunt and fish. We are pampered in wealthy countries and it is easy to ponder idealistic ways, but the whole world doesn't have such luxuries. In many countries many kids are a way of life and survival, and they have survived for centuries as such.

I understand your point of view, and I am not discouraging you, simply challenging your point of view through a civil discussion.

Not to be rude or offend anyone at all but the people with 9 or so kids sorta erks me. The family on tv the 18 and counting I can't watch it the show makes me mad.

Dear Lord, I have read this and it has brought me to tears........ am disgusted, angry and feeling every emotion possible... I detest, loathe and abhor cruelty to animals................ glad I am not in the USA as I would fight back at the inhumanty to animals.......... they where not put on this earth for "humans" to treat them such.....

So is anything being done about it? .... Has a campaign begun for humane treatment ..... must get off this soapbox......

And now it is time for Floridians to stand their ground and do what they need to do to protect their horses and other animals too and their property too!! Some people are standing guard over their property at night with their loaded guns in hand. Floridians don't take this lightly, when it comes to their horses, who they raised from babies and are family members/companions ect..

It is. It is also a delicacy in France.

I do not have an issue with slaughtering horses for eating, even though it's illegal to do so in the US.

I also hope they catch whoever is doing the slaughtering in FL, because they are stealing people's pets, companions, and property.
