Hey horse people!

I wanted to share some pretty pictures of the new place Ginger and the other horses I work with are at now -- my barn completely moved this month! In some unfortunate circumstances, the farm we were at before was being rented, and in some...interesting family dynamics lol, it got sold by the owners.

We are now renting actually at a giant training facility that is largely used by people with race horses. It's 93 acres, much bigger than the 7 acres I've grown up with. Ginger is a little freaked out but starting to settle in. She got moved yesterday. It's been a wild adventure moving 18 horses over there (with our filly deciding it'd be fun to get stuck in the fence and gash open her knee the day before we moved the last of the horses)
:th, but it's looking soo promising, with lots of new opportunities!

Thank you! ❤️

I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips on how to bond with your horse? I don’t have one but maybe one day!
Honestly, just spending time with your horse! If you get one or get the chance to lease, hanging around with your horse on the ground is some of the best quality time to bond. That's how I got so close with Ginger. As she's a lesson horse, I don't get to ride her much anymore, but more than riding, I cherish the little moments of grooming, ground work, going for walks, taking care of her when she's sick or injured. I find that's how I got to know her so well. Honestly, some of my favorite memories of Ginger are the moments where I'm just goofing off with her at the end of the day.

That’s my plan! But it’s good to get advice from people who have horses!

had a fun time at the stable yesterday (both /s and /gen)
the horse i was supposed to ride decided he really just wanted his food and kept trying to bite me, i thought he was in pain so i was super slow and gentle, but when i tried to get near him with the saddle he kept making very clear threats to double barrel me. as soon as we got back to near his stall, i could touch him and put the blanket back on no problem. horrible old man /aff
