He is seriously the sweetest and smartest horse. He was playing with his rubber mash tub and I jokingly said “hey can I have that?” while holding my hand out. He walked right over to the stall gate and held it over for me to grab. My husband looked at me and said “Did you teach him English or is he just scary smart?” 😂
Haha, there are just some horses who learn FAST or read minds. We have a horse who knows what we mean when we say drop it now, because of how many times we've had to take things out of his mouth. And he did so well on his first ride, it was hard to believe it was his first. ( Other than his reaching back to mess with the stirrups. He's such a monkey.) He does just as well as the 20 year old seasoned mare did before retirement.

He sounds a lot like Drago! When I went to look at him I had gone there fully expecting to buy a different horse, but my gut told me right away Drago was the one. The guy said when we went there it was the first time he had been haltered (he technically wasn’t for sale, but I asked if they would show me their yearlings that they might consider selling) and after handling Drago for a little bit there the way he responded was amazing. When I first grabbed his lead he jerked his head back and started dancing. By the end of the time I was there he was closing his eyes as I was scratching his head. I looked at my husband and said “write the check he’s mine now”.

Wow! When I first started riding Fancy she was refusing to move up on the crossties. I was just trying to move her up so it wasn’t pulling on her face, but she was being stubborn. So I kindly told her she would be more comfortable if she moved up and she moved up all by herself. Not sure if she just got tired of having her face pulled on or what!

Oh my goodness, "the not for sale" was the same too! We went for a second mustang, was told the owner changed their mind and didn't want to sell, and the people coordinating the whole thing introduced my mom to this horse instead, and said after watching her work with him, 'You make a great pair. We weren't going to sell him, but we think you're just what he needs and you should have him. Here's what we'd sell him to you for...' SOLD! Never regretted it yet. He's too sweet.

Happy thanksgiving everyone! How are your horses doing?
Happy Thanksgiving! Mine were being butts today. I looked out the window and saw them playing in the back pasture….with their rubber feed tubs that were in their stalls well at least this morning they were. I had to trek out to the back pasture to grab them this evening lol

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It was a beautiful foggy morning today. One of those chilly but not too cold FL mornings lol, just perfect for a ride. Yesterday you weren't even able to see this far, the fog was so thick!
