Zuko, a ~16.2 hh tb! I love him, he’s got super comfy gaits and automatic lead changes. He’s a very sweet and patient boy

Ask you daughter if she knew or knew of "Wynn" (can't remember her last name anymore).

She bred a warmblood pony, "Teddy", that was slated for Olympics. A pasture/barn accident took his life before competition.

Here are 2 pics of Wynn riding & evaluating 2 of our 1/2 Arab ponies. She was against the "pied" pattern of Blizzard but liked him overall. Star was a "super nice pony, but too small unless we were to breed her to a good warm blood"...

She did utilize Star for a bit w/ some of her students. Star eventually went to SC & was a great fox hunter for several young riders.

Blizzard went to Whitehaven "Farm?" in SC, an Arabian breeding farm. He sold to a little girl & several years later qualified for the Pony Nationals @ Ky Horse Park. But she had qualified for another division w/ a horse & chose to take him instead. But along w/ lots of fun times, he had his "star" moment.

EDIT - to change spelling & grammer
VERY cool! These were before her time, but I'll ask. DD only handles a few ponies, but only at their very beginnings. The majority of her charges are big warmbloods. She started out in "Training," which included getting paid to attend Devon and winters in Florida - the bum! :) Now she's in "Raising," working with broodmares and youngsters up til about two. That's how I ended up with all the new baby pics, this Spring - she was on "foal watch" and saw them all when they were brand-spankin' new. Did I tell you that she's a bum, yet? And a lucky one, at that!

Some sold as weanlings, some as 1s & 2 yr old. Some we started in harness or under saddle. We enjoyed a handful into their early teens before they found new homes.

A handful went from purchased at teen years to passing naturally at much older age.

What a WONDERFUL rabbit hole to fall into! Thanks!

Fascinating about Teddy and Wynn!

Erin Go Bragh was our area's super pony back in the day!

I've always really liked ponies--they've been some of my best teachers!
I am familiar w/ that name, but will have to look it up.

He was/is a Connemara, right? If im thinking of the right pony, a bay.
