Horses!!!!!!!!

Yours are more Arabian looking. I love it. I would buy one from you if I had the $$ and if I was old enough and out of mom and dads house. Lol, I would get one for when/if I get xenia. But 2 foals at one time would be a lot to handle for me a beginner.

Mindylee, are you focusing on Appy's, or is it just the ones in your pics? They are beauties!

Blondie's sire was a cremello leopard Appy. The first time I saw him, he had just had a bath, and I thought the spots were manure stains. It was only after he dried off that I realized my mistake.

Blondie is obviously not spotted, but her coat is a sort of "salt and pepper" blend of gold and cream-colored hairs. She doesn't have the Appy characteristics, but I used to worry that she would "roan out" (I don't care for the look of varnish roans). She's such a sweetie, any more, I really don't care what color she is!

I saw a quote somewhere and now I live by it...
" there's no bad color for a good horse"

Quote: That's for sure! I've had a few rabbits that seemed to feel like, "I've got looks, I don't need personality!"

My mare Latte gave me a chuckle yesterday. (Palomino QH - always had the looks, finally developing the personality, too)

I was hand-watering an area in her paddock, and she came moseying over to see what I was doing. She sniffed at the wet ground a few times, and even pawed at it a little, like a horse that is thinking about going down. She stuck her nose in the water stream, and played with the water with her lips - which got it all over me, of course ("hey, Sunny! Watch me give the Hay Lady a bath!") Finally, she parked her big yellow self right in the middle of the area I was watering. "What's this, Big Blond, do you want me to water you, too?" So I started playing the water on her legs, and worked my way up. She didn't like it in her face, but anywhere else - oh, yeah! She even pinned her ears at Sunny when she tried to get in on it. I guess kids aren't the only ones who like to play in the hose on a hot day!
