Horses!!!!!!!!

My horses have been barefoot all their lives (one is 23, one is 9). I have people tell me that I'm stupid to not have them shod, but I haven't had any problems. They get the wild mustang trim and their feet are as hard as rocks. No need for shoes imo

I know none of mine are shod but 1. My horses hoofs are in pretty good shape! So their is no need to get them shod.

No need to shoe your horse if they have good feet--never heard anyone call it cruel to have a barefoot horse LOL!

Mine are usually barefoot unless in hard work.

My mare who is the only horse I have that I have to keep shod has very delicate front hoofs and they have to stay shod.

I have had horses since I was two. I had a horse name caillou I had him since he was a foal. We even had to bottle feed him. He was trained when he was 1 yrs old. when I moved the previous house owner left his horse red there. He abused and starved red. so one day my dad went to feed our horses and red kicked my dad up and over the horse fence (4 feet tall). and into our goat pen. Red kicked my moms horse in the head and made him have a brain bleed we didn't know about so he went blind and deaf and passed away with his head on my moms lap. she told him that it was alright to go and she would be with soon. Then red kicked my horse caillou in the fetlock. My dad came in the house and told my mom to call the vat right away and that something was wrong. so immediately my sister and I ran into the back room we saw all the horses but my horse caillou I ran into my room and started balling. Our neighbors brought there horse trailer to our house. My parents called the cops and my dad and my moms old friend Howie got into a fight with reds owner. My dad said you killed my wifes horse and now my daughters horse. you don't mess with my kids animals. so my mom told my dad to calm down because she didn't need him going to jail to. Then reds owner said he was trained and very friendly. so the police said saddle him up and take him to the amish. he couldn't even catch him. when caillou was loaded I ran outside and told him I love him and to be strong and that I will never forget him. by the time he got to the veterinarian he had lost to much blood. so we had to put him down. a couple weeks later I received my horse flea (flee-uh) immediately we bonded. I trained her for the saddle and bit I can ride her I just need to teach her the cues. I also have two more horses named sassy (heflinger mare) and buddy (a morgan gelding) And flea a wuarter horse mare.

Yup, I've had those in the past! One of my geldings is very foot sore right now (we moved recently from a sandy area to a mountain, he's having trouble adjusting), so instead of shoes, we're trying casts to see if they'll help him transition.

Flea, I'm so sorry about your horse. Here's to many happy rides with your new girl. My friend has a Haflinger/Morgan cross :)

Ederob, beautiful!
