Horses!!!!!!!!

I just realized byc had a horse thread. Yay! I currently have 4. We are in a severe drought and I had to downsize. I competed when I was a teenager but ran out of time and money :) I kept my quarter horses as they were the most versatile. I just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone. Byc has turned into my everything animal spot lol.

Always nice to talk to fellow horse lovers! :)

Thank you heartsizedfarm! flockofbantams, Zee is actually a very dark chestnut according to the genetics testing we had done last year (crazy right!). I still call him a bay. This photo shows his color a little better (sorry, he's my sister's boy so she tends to share the rockin' jumps or dark stable shots on FB for me to copy.) I'll take a pic of his baby sister (Zara) and share. She just turned a year old.
Your horses are incredible!!

I was looking there, but I didn't see any in my area... I'll definitely keep an eye out though.

Yrs back, I found a Western saddle in the trash out in front of a big farm. It was nasty and had green mold on it. I deep cleaned it and sold it for $200!

It paid for my hay for my 1st mini I just bought Back then!

It was an awesome find!

Incredibly happy to find a horse thread on BYC! I have two quarter horses right now, both retired cutting horses. Rooster, he's a bay gelding, and Ashley, a dark brown mare. Used to have a lot more but because of downsizing land and horrible college tuition costs we've had to sell a lot. I used to ride and compete quite a bit, but now our beauties live the good, lazy life
