the faucet is too far away to turn on and off as necessary. Duh.

You turn it on and let it water some grass until you get to it then while using it you kink it if you need it off for a minute. Duh.

No way in hell.
I use too much water as it is. And we get charged a sewer bill that is based on our water usage...and is usually about triple the price of the water portion of the bill.
I cannot just have water dumping on the ground while I scrub things.

And I only have two hands!
I ain't talented enough to hold a hose kink and get anything else done.

I see you're just gonna be hard headed so my vote is a fireman style nozzle. You can go from soaker to jet to anything in-between and they flow fast.
