Yesterday was a boring day for Roscoe.
I had some things to tend to that he could not come to,
and then I was busy with dinner.
Roscoe played Barnyard on the Wii.
He just loves how that cow squirts milk!
Today, again, I had some errands that were NOT duck friendly...
and so he stayed home. When I came home I called and called him,
but he didn't answer. I finally found him perched on the hummingbird feeder.
He said he'd been there for about an hour waiting for the hummingbirds.
I let him wait a little longer then suggested he get down.
I think that the hummingbirds were afraid of him.
Roscoe decided to watch the flock instead...
And they, in turn, watched him.
While watching the flock, he noticed lots of wildflowers
and wanted to go smell them.
Next he tried to take a dirt bath with the chicks. They were a little more receptive, but still, the majority did not want to be too close.
After much begging about him wanting to play in the dirt,
I let him play with the shovel and dig to his heart's content
in the garden before I plant the veggies. He sure did have fun.
He took to it like a duck takes to water.
