We arrived at Orpington Manor, and Billywas immediatly attracted to Tandy, the beautiful and friendly cat. In the previous post, you see how he tried to charm her- he did a silly little dance around her, then jumped on her back. He claimed to be tired and asked for a guided tour. You also see her reaction in that post.
We went outside so Billy could meet the Ladies of Orpington Manor. The picture I snapped shows the top of Billy's head, and the fluffy butts of the Ladies as they walked away. Just like they had done to Beaker. But, as we all know, chickens will only hang around you long enough to find out if you have treats.
They thought the treats were in the basement:
Billy was in a hurry to get back in the house - Tandy is an indoor cat.
At first, the cats and Billy played Tag. Billy giggled his little fool head off, not realizing Both cats were "IT" and tagging him relentlesly.
Rennie smelled the pizza we were having, and quickly left Billy to come sit quietly waiting for his share of the pizza. Billy and Tandy continued to play. Then they settled down and started whispering.
Whattheflock was there also, and he tried to bring Billy in for some pizza. Tandy did not want Billy to go. There was a very brief tug-o-war
Tandy won:
I continued my visit, and we all kept our heads turned so as to not disrupt Billy and Tandys snuggling.
I was afraid to leave. I was afraid to take Billy away from Tandy. She and Billy fell asleep. I very carefully took Billy from Tandy's arms(legs?) and strapped him, still sleeping, into the car.
It was NOT good when he woke up. He cried because we took him away from his new friend. I promised him Orp would send us some of Tandys furballs and we'd make him a little pillow. He liked that idea.
