Hot composting with chicken bedding and garden waste

Oh go ahead and splurge for the probe....you will be thrilled with it!
It's good for testing ground temps for planting too....and you can use it to test your scalding water for plucking birds when you harvest.
I think I paid about $25 for mine, not sure what that is in euros..pretty close to same I think.

With our taxes it comes to about the same, yeah.

I'll try to remember next time I go near the place that sells them. I basically want an analog 16" probe, but those are hard to find. 8" is readily available, but that's a bit on the short side.

Mines a 20" analog...you definitely want a longer one.

I thought vehve was older than me...
That did change how I talked to him ( once I knew we were closer in age )
Anyway it could be a fun discussion but probably not the best place for it...

Hey, this might be a good thread to ask if anyone has experience with insect hotels. I'd love to hear both positive and negative experiences from someone who's had one in their yard.
