Whats the difference between the underneath cooling pads and those thingamies that stick in the side and vaccum out the inside?? My laptops fan opening doo-daa is on the side....

Try cleaning out the Air ports. You could also put a fan blowing on it. Another thing you could do is to change the fan speed settings, by using a program to make them run faster.

Depending on if you are running a lot of processces is dependent on how hot your laptop well get hot, i would suggest an cooling pad, and also get some compressed air (an air compresser works) to gentlely blow out the air ports, also if you can and know what you are doing, remove the backplates and blow the fan out.


Also laptops well get hot as the grow older.
