Hot Incubator Help

Hey one egg is supposed to hatch today I saw it move twice last night but I don't know if its was the egg turner, I have a piece of paper on top of the egg turner because I have 14 other eggs that need to be turned. But the hatch egg doesn't appear to be in different places each day...

. Are you doing a staggered hatch in one incubator? That's not a good ideal because eggs should stop turning on the 18th. day so the chicks can get in position to hatch . So if its not turning that's a good thing . You might want stop the turner when and if you see a pip .Also try and pick up another incubator just to hatch in. A new LG is around $50 without the turner .Also go with a forced air . Temperatures are more even throughout the incubator. use it to incubate and use the still air to hatch. If the eggs have running a touch colder the hatch day can be delayed. If your running a touch warmer then they will hatch quicker. I have cabinet incubators and get a lot of 19 and 20 day hatch's . With that in mind I try to stop turning on the 16th. day. You can stop turning as early as the 14th. day . good luck hope it hatch's for you .

Thanks I'll get a 2nd incubator the one that is hatching is a test egg and I didn't think it was fertile but apparently it is.

still no pipping its day 23 and I haven't seen any movement. What's the best incubator that I can buy?

The best all around value is Incuview from Incubator Warehouse. It's forced air, so you don't have to worry about hot or cool spots. It's easy to clean. It's easy to change out parts if something breaks. It's accurate and stable. Comes with the turner and turning tray, so it's not an added expense. And it's fully programmable.

Thanks I think I'll go with that or brinsea, humidity is finally at 63%! Waiting for first pip still!
Have you seen any life sign in any of the eggs ? The brinsea is probably the best small Incubator out there . Very expensive though . Might want to talk to some others that have them . Check out Welcome to my pond in random ramblings the thread starter has two of them . Other members who frequent there also use them . Incubators should be purchased by what you can afford what and your hatching goals are .You don't want to spend a lot just hatch a few eggs . Less expensive incubators will do most people just fine with a little fiddling. Brinsea is a little harder to get parts for . Incubator warehouse has a real good record for service . I use GQF cabinets . There are so many choices. several members have made their own. Check out the DIY incubator threads too. Maybe your handy .

The Brinsea is overpriced, and has a reputation for poor customer service. For a fraction of the cost, the Incuview offers all the same features, plus you don't have to buy the turner separately. And the customer service is unbeatable.

Ok I think I'll try the incuview! Sounds Great, no signs yet but I have had a lot of sports and work the last few days, so I'm still waiting. I can't get my temp up to 101 no stuck at 98 degrees. Hand a little giant still air. Both plugs in and heater up to 102.1.
