Hot peck solution

I have this 4 week old rooster that has torn tail feathers off 4 chicks that has left them with bloody bums.. I have separated the roo from the rest. The 4 chicks I put in another cage for their protection. There where no outlets within miles that I could buy hot peck solution. I mailed ordered some from Meyer. Once treated with the hot peck solution how soon can I reintroduce the chicks back to the large brooder? John

When you have an mean chick, you are best off to just keep them separated until they are able to deal with it on their own, or if that isn't an option, put a bit on him. Good luck!
