A friend has set up a fund to help us rebuild our flock and set up housing for the ones we have in the basement. All that info is on our Facebook page (in my signature).

That is so sweet of you to say. It hurt really bad to come on BYC the day it happened. To look at the images of my birds makes my heart stop.

I can't imagine why you would be surprised people would want to help you. Seriously. Didn't you get a BYC friendship nomination and award? You certainly deserve it. I admire how you keep your farm and your animals. I would rather support you and the way you raise your breeds than a lot of other businesses or breeders.
Will you raise Houdans again? (I really hope so)

Thank you so much.. I just never thought I would get this kind of outreach. Somehow a bunch of moderators on here heard about the fire and PMed me. I only posted about my loss on 3 threads.

I just need to get something set up before I take any birds in. We are looking at getting a baby barn right now until the mess is cleared and the new barn is built.

I really am nervous to miss Kevin's breeding season. I can't wait a year.. I can't imagine what I'd do with my time.

When is his breeding season. We have MORE than enough space to get them at our place untill your ready. Im planning on getting some as well anyway. Our only issue is finding a drive to go up there. Space to keep the chickens is not an issue.

I am not sure on his breeding season times. We bought our first at the very beginning of March and our last at the very beginning of August and all of his birds were loose when I was there.. so he was done hatching at that point.
