What I would like to know is if a duck is raised inside as a baby and grows up indoors will that duck no longer act like a duck per say? Will it still mate with other ducks or hang out with other ducks?

Ducks are ducks so yes raising a house duck will not change it being a duck. It will do all duck things but having a inside duck can be a disadvantage because they do like to do duck things as they are ducks....and a house is not a duck living kinda place, but not trying to discourage you at all from doing this because ducks can still do great being indoor.

Will it still mate with other ducks or hang out with other ducks?

Not sure about mating if it does have an opposite sex mate, but my pekin wasn't even raised indoors* but since 4 months ago after her sexual maturity she's been flattening for me, asking me to mate with her. She did grow up with a drake but I gave the drake away 2 weeks before her sexual maturity. I've had an all-girls flock ever since.

*I brooded her and her 5 clutch-mates indoors only until 10 days, then they were kicked outside.

The reason I ask is because I would like to breed him with another pekin and well I just wasn't sure if he would do duck things with a female duck after being with me inside. He also flirts with me, Bob's his head up and down, bites me but not aggressively.

Yes he is a 5 month drake. He has his drake feather and I always assumed that when they get thier drake feather they were mature but I have 2 khaki campbell drakes that do not have thier drake feathers yet and they go to town on female khaki campbell.

Can’t always assume anything with drakes my Runner lost his drake feather again. 2 drakes to one KC isn’t going to end well for her. You really need at least 3 females for each drake to keep the females from being abused.
