housing bantam leghorns

I am wanting to build small breeding pens/ buildings for Dark brown leghorn exhibition breeders. The chicks I have seem like they will fly quite well, so I am thinking a dropping board 2 feet above the floor with a roost 6 inches above that. The breeding groups will be set up as 4 females and a male.

How much roost space do I need per bird? Is 10" from the wall going to be ok?

I can't decide if to build the pens 4x6 ( 4.8 sq feet per bird)

Or 3x6 ( 3.6 sq feet per bird)

From what I can read it seems that bantams are recommended for 2 square feet per bird, but is that pets or show birds?
