Housing Jumbo Coturnix?

This maybe a silly question but if you raise them for eggs do you eat the eggs?

Yeah. I'm assuming that if you're raising them to lay eggs to hatch into more quail, you'd just say that you were breeding quail. Of course, some people sell blown eggs.

I have mixed button quail eggs into dishes just cuz I had to many. And turkey eggs are great for baking. I just wondered if you just raise them like chickens to eat the eggs. How big are there eggs

Does anyone know what colors the jumbos come in? Are they only the regular brown color?

I plan to breed every color of coturnix I have into jumbo which shouldnt take too many generations (breed and keep only the biggest birds).

Normal Pharoah (already been hatched) egg next to a nickel:

First egg is a large white store bought chicken egg, second egg is from my HUGE A &M coturnix hen "Big Bertha" and the third is a noromal pharoah egg:

I think this first egg is from another Jumbo A & M, second is a pharoah, and third is a button quail egg:

Tibetan coturnix egg (pharoah sized) egg that was cracked when I went to collect eggs, so I brought it down and fried it up it was DELISHIOUS!:

Are the A&M's all white meat, even jumbos? We're dark meat eaters here, lol. I'd love to get some of the tuxedos in jumbo, but honestly, I'm too lazy to breed into them.

I'm not a fan of dark meat AND I LOVE coturnix dark meat! I havent got to try coturnix white meat yet, my only A &Ms are my breeders I dont have any excess yet but when I do....

It's kinda hard to see, but that LARGE white bird in the middle of the picture looking towards the right is Big Bertha.

See the difference!? She's mixed in with Jumbos and Pharoahs here lol!
