hova bator / gqf turner.....how does it turn?

how does the hova bator / gqf turner work. Does it constantly turn really slowly or does it turn and stop every few hours. The description says that it makes a rotation every 4 hours it doesn't say how it does that.

It continually turns very very very slow. It work great! I have one.

Only issue is the egg racks.. you have to take a drimel to the sides of the egg racks so eggs clear while the turner turns.. not a huge deal... once its done its done... had to do it with the quail racks and chicken racks... ive had several 100% hatches with it...

Not sure what part you are taking a drimel to but that doesn't sound like a major problem. I really wanted to go with a timed turner but if you and a other swear that it works then that's good enough for me. Cheapest ive found so far is $41 for a gqf including both quail and chicken racks now I just need to buy 3 for the one im building.

Ummn i paid like $200 for the one i have.... they arent that cheap... hoovabator genesis... has the yellow egg turning racks....

Best i can explain it here is.. the sides of the egg racks need trimmed because when the racks turn side to side the rack next to it catches the top of the egg if you get large size eggs.... small eggs may not matter...

Heres a visual pic... imagine all the racks turning to one side.... the side of the rack next to it will catch the top of the egg....

Search it on here... i found this info in the quail section years ago when i firat got the incubator and it ended up it was very true... theres an instructional thread here on this forum...
