Hova Bators

Got my hova bator for $50 with shipping, then added a pc fan and the bolts lined up perfectly , wish i would have gotten the one with a fan though it was only $20 extra my temp varies .6 degrease from the center to the edge (the fan i have is a little noisy though..

What kind hovabator and where did you find it for $50

I bought the plain-jane hovabator with no fan. I bought the LG egg turner locally and installed a PC fan for $5. It really is easy to install your own fan using an computer fan.

I have the Hovabator 1602N (no fan) and just got Brinsea Octagon Eco 20. To be honest I think I prefer the Hovabator. I had a 100% hatch in the Hovabator. I have eggs in the Brinsea right now. It is set up in the same spot as the Hovabator was. I am noticing more temp variations at night vs the Hovabator. We don't run the heater at night so it gets pretty cold. With Hovabator I would just wrap a towel around the bottom and up the sides covering where the top and bottom seals. This would keep my temp steady at night. I have tried several things to keep the Brinsea from dropping in temp at night and none have worked. If I cover any part of it the temp shoots up really fast.

I got 2 havabators 1 is a 1520[?] the other is the 1602n. the 15 has a fan and a turner for incubating. the fan is very quiet. and the 16 is for lockdown and has no fan . I got eggs in it almost all the time. I just started doing this and this is acually my first hatch today. 100% hatch! so I gotta say I love my bators.got somemore for lockdown next week. got to luv it!

its simple to install it, if you have a power source fan and 12v power supply. deck screws worked on mine (you could use small bolts and nuts). The holes line up perfectly so my fan is the same general size as the special fan.

we have a Hova-Bator 2362n and a turner and it is really a no brainer --- put in some water run it for a day or so and get your temps stable - top off the water load up the eggs and let it rip ..... one of you wise people mentioned food coloring in the water ..... that will be done this time , what a good idea
The hova bators are pretty easy and simple we got great hatch rates and we knew nothing about hatching.

Thanks.
