Hovabator Genises help please

We just got our Hovabator and auto egg turner (we are newbies) the instructions state to take the thermometor out of the box then it says to put it directly on the eggs ? We do not see a thermometer ? Is it built into the cover or our we missing it ? Thank you in advance.

Which model are you using?
The older Hovabators used to come with a little thermometer that you set at egg level in order to check the temp.
The newer models (at least this is true of the Genesis 1588) have the built-in thermometer.
