Hover question

I have a homemade hover I built and can't get it to maintain the temp at 95°. Would putting an apron around it help and will the chicks know how to go through it to get to the heat?

I didn't wotty about the exact temperature, I got it close but they will move closer or away to make themselves feel comfortable, I think it's more important to have an area where they can get away from the heat so you don't cook them.

It runs between 85 and 100 under the hover and I have a small heater in the building keeping it around 60 degrees elsewhere. Will they be ok with that?

I think they will be fine they will come and go as they get to hot or cold, they will find a comfortable place somewhere in the middle.
