How about a "select all" button to delete PMs?

Yeah-your idea is great. I have been thinking it the whole time I've been on BYC! Maybe some of you don't get dozens of messages you have to delete at the same time.

It gets a bit old clicking on every single one for sure!

Okay now that I have ammused myself, its a Private Message, upper left of screen will say check you in box if you have one, and you press PM under anybodys name to send them a message, it makes it so you dont have to pass out your e-mail addy to everyone on the forum unless you want to.

Hi!
Private Messaging thru BYC is a lovely feature EXCEPT it has it's limitations.
A) A way to tell if I responded to a PM already or not would be nice.
B) Should automatically 'quote' the previous message (and messages) you are responding to, so I'm reminded what we were talking about.

No complaints, I'm just getting forgetful.

Well Chellester, being a computer programmer, you are limited in your ability to
use the PM system.

I find if I hit the screen with a spatula all the pms go away automatically.

A "select all" button that will check ALL the messages at once before clicking the delete button is what I am asking for.

Gosh, you must be one of the most popular members on here! I never get so many pm's that I have to mass delete very often.
Maybe Nifty could increase your storage space so you don't have to delete as often
