So Miss Lydia - is that true for other breeds of geese also? - like Poms and American Blues?

I just know for Embdens it is, don't think so with other breeds. You might ask those that have them if they can tell. I just got an American Buff gosling and the breeder couldn't tell if goose or gander. We're so hoping goose.

You could have a pair but my embden gander was pretty light as a gosling. Slightly lighter probably still means girl

pretty light. this is not my gander I didn't have computer 7yrs ago when mine was tiny.

How precious, I love my Embden gander, Lucky does need a friend of his own species though being flock animals they just do so much better if they have one of their own. , kids look like they like him alot.

Hi all I have really enjoyed browsing through this forum! We were solely duck people (15 of the little buggers) until we decided to give geese a try! Embdens seemed like the way to go so we ordered two girls and one boy to ship on the 23rd from Metzer!

I have talked to people who have great reviews of receiving ducks from Metzer but does anyone have any opinions on getting geese from there? I have never had any birds shipped so I hope everything works out! I can't wait to get my three little goslings!
