Great explanation!! Lol....you’re right miss Lydia I have been hard at work with soaks since May!!The problem with bumble foot which is staff infection you need to open the scabbed area and get the plug [infection] out if you don't then the infection can go into the joint ,bone and eventually into the blood stream. I have 1 duck and so far 2 of my Salmon Faverolles[ for the 3rd time this year] have bumble. My Runners foot I got the scab off nothing inside but her meat. So it's healing nice. The chicken hens I will have to open and get the bumble[plug] out one has swelling. It takes time but you just keep working on it till you get it done. As @onaharley knows lol
I just seen this post, those notifications are still not updating properly on my phone. The black is the darkened Blood so if on antibiotics and it's scabby then don't remove it. A definite calluse will form.
You know... I might have to go back to doing the iodine. She off antibiotics now but the vet gave me enough of the anti inflammatory/pain meds because of bills wing issues that I put her back on that to help with swelling. Maybe do a week with the clear iodine to hep dry it out would do some good! Thanks miss Lydia!Okay my take is if on antibiotics keep on with them and clear iodine outside after getting the scab off when ready then Manuka honey and wrap![]()
