How about grass clippings for 4 week old poults?

I would be giving them some grit for the first time as well.Is it dangerous to give them the clippings?They are from the front yard where the chickens do not go as a rule.Any advice would be appreciated.My poults BTW are still in the house ( I know...brooding in the house is a mess

) in the brooder.They have never been outside yet.

I give mine grass ( hand cut with scissors ) and they absolutely love it. Just a little every 2 or 3 days. They also get chopped romaine lettuce

Just make sure that you already have them started on grit...

I start mine right a way too. If you give them too much their dropping well turn loose and black. Make sure the clippings have no chemicals like roundup or grubex. good luck, JOHN
